While in New York, allowed me to traverse the manufacturing process and noticed metal working at the hands of the craftsman, filing, polishing and establish with amazing accuracy. I started to see jewelry as art instead of a commodity, and I had the opportunity to examine and study some of the most incredible pieces that anyone will ever see.
That was it; I've been the error.Yo needed to know how the jewelry was made and why stones were established in certain ways that would make them vibrant or brilliant. I spent the rest of my career trying to emulate what have achieved these artisans in my own pieces.
Can you describe some training crossed in order to learn the trade jewelry design?
I am a self-taught designer with a strong dose of curiosity. My training was often "what if it did?" Wax hand carving was probably the most satisfactory and frustrating for me.Wax carving is the foundation of all design because we must begin with a wax convert to metal.
I spent years working on my own, carved wax trying to forge the wax sculpture to really look like the image that I had . fund my team and my frustration of being a perfectionist, I started my training with jewelry CAD software to create this image in my head or on paper, and then use a wax printer, or a mill to produce wax. In my opinion, if the wax is perfect, then the cast part has a great start in perfect.
Metal work is a completely different world. It takes years to really improve your craft.
