Jeff Okean, a designer jewelry pieces of Gemvara, took the Grand Prize within international contest design for jewelry CAD, sponsored by the European Academy of jewelers, Gold & training centre of Ahlen in collaboration with Paris Vision Numeric-based software manufacturer silversmiths. The prize was awarded to the bracelet "Wedge" in silver with 220, brilliant-cut diamonds, totalling more than 9.5 carats.
The only American selected arbitrated contest, Jeff award at a ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany 29 August during the annual exhibition of jewellery and fashion tendence. Messe is even more remarkable because Jeff only started to design in 3D CAD only about a year ago.
Bracelet "Wedge" design won not only by its clean lines and geometric style, but also for its engineering, highlighting its placement of a hidden box clasp and hinge that promotes a look a piece when closed."To ensure that a piece of jewelry fine to be well designed everything must fit only the correct amount of tolerance," explains Jeff.
Given the theme of the competition of silver and diamond jewelry, Okean says was encouraged to design something bold with a large number of small diamonds, to used different sizes of 0.013 to 0.046 carats.""Appearance is very European, angular, but with edges of agreement and a large surface niche in a concave arc which is to protect the stones," says progressive but practical design.
Inspired by the energy balance in the forces of nature and symmetry and order exists in apparent disorder, Okean believes his jewelry appeals to women who are not going to the status "Women who use my jewels are looking for something that makes a strong statement of what you appreciate, and choose to share with the world as a thing of beauty."
Okean passion for jewellery has evolved since his fascination with minerals, learn to cut gems as a teenager under the tutelage of a local lapidary in Pennsylvania, where grew. when women of his family were pleased to take them, he was hooked on the power of jewelry to evoke emotion. having worked in his 20 years as a buyer of gem and designer for a manufacturer, took some time away from trade to explore other races, including music, psychology, and information. technology finally returned to his first love of jewelry in your designs in Gemvara.com 2007.Ademis, Okean hand manufactures parts of one type and extent in his studio in Juno Beach, Florida.
